Our Story

While living in a small apartment in downtown Portland, I experienced the nightmare of lack of storage space firsthand.

My golf clubs sat unused throughout the long winters. My window air conditioning unit became a tripping hazard in the hallway once the temperatures dropped in the fall. My skis, boots poles, and cold weather gear took up valuable closet space from May to December.

I wished I had a place for these items outside of their seasonal uses, but they simply didn’t justify the cost of an entire storage unit. I thought there had to be an existing solution, but there wasn’t.

That is, until we came up with the concept of an end-to-end storage process so that people could store unused or seasonal items, have them picked up and delivered on demand, and maximize the space in their homes.

We proudly call it Maine Micro Storage.
